The problem is Conviction has no problem if the UMD has the compression removed but it will not boot if the encryption around the files is missing and removing the encryption is essential so you can edit the values directly within. I also tried removing all the compression from Conviction.umd and removing the XOR encryption on the files, so I can directly hex edit the values within the UMD itself.
